DAN'S STORY
Dan immigrated to Canada from Ukraine in 1999, looking for opportunities that were simply out of reach there. A year later, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces part‑time, determined to serve the country that had welcomed him.
After 9/11, he wanted to contribute on a larger scale. That commitment grew into a full‑time career spanning the Army, Air Force, and eventually Canadian Special Operations Forces, where he spent a decade in the elite community and deployed overseas multiple times.
In 2018, someone finally ran an after‑action report on his finances: “Here is what you have. Here is what it will take. Here is what happens to your family if you do not make it home.” By that time, Dan had spent 18 years planning for every contingency except that one. He got licensed five months later.
By 2023, after six relocations across the country and considerable time away from home, he decided it was time to shift his energy toward family and building something lasting beyond uniform. He retired from the military and opened his first office in Courtenay, BC, before relocating to Cochrane, AB.
Today, he works with Canadians across the country who are tired of nobody showing up for them the way they have shown up for everyone else.
